Introductory Questions

1. I am Joseph Wang, a junior in Communication Design
2. I am currently in the major of Communication Design and the minor of Marketing. I enjoy graphic design and branding. I take this class because it is my requirment.
3. I have no experience with HTML/CSS/JS
4. I hope to learn more about the fundementals of interaction design to aid my future work on webpage.
5. One of the differences that designing for screen need to consider is how audience preceive the image. We need to create a hieracy for the information presented on the webpage/mobile app.
6. Hara Design Institute is a good iteration of effetive designs. It is a great example of Japanese minimalistic design practices and follows the theme of the design institute with a simple and clear design.
7. Mohawk is a great example of effective communications. The menu is clearly laid out on the upper portion of the screen with san serif fonts, while the middle section of the webpage is dominated with large and vibrant images that showcase its products. Such combination helps the viewer to know about Mohawk immediately and find their way to the detailed pages with no confusion.
8. Design Inspiration is a great example of websites that works well. The search bar is clearly laid out on the top for users to use and different suggested results are on a rolling screen right below the search bar.
